Course Syllabuses

Pre-Algebra -(8th Grade Math) - The course covers basic operation of adding, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, powers and roots of whole, fractions, and decimal numbers. Course also, includes ratio/proportion, percents and elementary algebra concepts.

Algebra I - The course is an introduction to basic algebraic terms, solutions to equations of the first and second degree.

Geometry - The course covers logical reasoning, algebraic applications, and characteristics of geometric forms will be incorporated into the geometric reasoning process.

Algebra II - This course covers linear and quadratic equations, functions, complex numbers, series and sequences, logarithms, and solutions to multivariable equations.

Pre-Calculus - This course covers functions (rational, polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric), systems of equations, series and sequences and analytic geometry.

Classroom rules

1. Show due respect to others with in the building. (This includes other students, teachers, office personnel, and administrators.)
2. Follow the guidelines for proper behavior outlined in the Student Handbook.
3. Any other specific rules will be established as the need arises.

General
1. Attend class. Arrive on time.
2. Bring notebooks, books and pencil every day.
3. All daily assignments will be handed in.
4. Be prepared for a short quiz at any time.
5. Reviews will be held before every test.
6. Put name, class, and assignment on each paper.

Consequences
1. Verbal warning
2. Loss of passing time
3. Time before/after school
4. Refer to office

Absences
If you have an excused absence, follow the procedures listed below.
1. Get the make-up assignments.
2. Complete the work and return it to me.
3. Tests and quizzes must be make-up outside of class time.
4. You have one make-up day for each day of absence plus one.
5. A Test for which you miss because of absence will be made up the day you return to class (on your own time); if you were present the day the review was held.

Extra help
If you would like extra help, come in before school, after school, or at some other prearranged time.

Grading procedure
Your success in the class will greatly determined by your attendance and willingness to work while in class.

Information That is Required to be Kept in Your Notebook

1. List of all daily assignments (including date, page number, and number of problems)
2. Terms & formulas
a. All bolded terms in the chapter must be defined and placed in your notebook.
b. All formulas and explanations must be written.
3. Examples worked in class are to be copied in to the notebook.
4. Timed test sheets


Assignments

1. All assignments must be turned in to pass!
2. Any work that requires paper and pencil must be done on the paper turned in.
3. Show all your work
