Pateros School District Press Release

Dr. Lois A. Davies, superintendent of Pateros School District since 2008, gave her notification that her last day as superintendent will be at the end of her current contract year, June 30, 2018. The formal announcement was made March 28, 2018. Dr. Davies is looking forward to pursuing an adventure in leadership and research.

Davies began her career as a teacher, librarian, and technology director.  She then served as an academic coach at North Central ESD.  Afterwards she became an administrative coach for superintendents and principals while working for OSPI and Washington State Leadership Academy.  Last year Lois had the privilege of serving as the President of Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA).

“My ten-year journey in this role has been rich and rewarding.  There is much to celebrate and remember.  It has been an honor and a privilege to serve in a district and community where supporting kids and building our future is a priority.  Together, we have walked through many celebrations, tragedies, and challenges.”  Davies said in her written notification to the board and staff.

Pateros School Board members are working with North Central ESD as they consider how to move forward to fill the superintendent vacancy.  The school board wishes Dr. Davies well in her new endeavor.  For more information please contact the district office at 509-923-2751 ext. 4.
